Bogus Republican Survey Received in Email

So, today I received this bogus Republican survey in my e-mail, from Donald Trump.  Why they sent it to me, I have no idea.  I am not a registered Republican -- I'm not
even registered with any political party at all, for that matter.

Here's what they wrote:

Friend,

It’s time to simplify the tax code. By doing so, we will boost consumer spending, encourage savings and investment, and maximize American economic growth.

So it’s important we get it done right.

That’s why, as a hardworking American, I’d like to know what you think.

Please take a moment to share your input on our country’s financial future by taking my Official Tax Reform Survey today.

    GROW THE AMERICAN ECONOMY!

So please, take just 5 minutes and fill out my Official Tax Reform Survey today.

Thank you,

Donald J. Trump

So, of course, I answered the survey.  Although probably not the way they wanted me to answer it.  Here are my answers (under "Other, please specify" after each
question):

In order to achieve the American Dream, Americans must be able to keep more money in their pockets and increase after-tax wages.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

Americans must be able to get paid for the work they do, instead of getting stiffed by deadbeats all the time.  We need stricter laws in place to protect American workers from certain, self-entitled businessmen who don't believe in paying their bills.

We must work to simplify the tax code by reducing the number of income brackets.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

We must reduce the number of tax loopholes that certain, self-entitled businessmen take full advantage of to avoid paying any income taxes at all.

We must discourage corporate inversions in order to grow the American economy.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

We must discourage political incursions in order to protect the American nation.  Such as when certain, self-entitled businessmen cut deals with foreign, enemy powers in order to finance their failing businesses.

We must make America a globally competitive nation again.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

We must make America a morally responsible nation again.

Our plan must be fiscally responsible in order to not add to our already staggering debt.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

We need fiscally responsible people running this nation.  Not people who will waste our tax dollars on non-sustainable, border walls.

We must eliminate the "death tax".

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

Seeing as how many parents these days can't even scrape up a significant amount of money to pass down to their children in the form of an inheritance, I would say that  the "death tax" is of greater concern to the wealthy than to the average American.

We must reduce or eliminate deductions and loopholes that only benefit the very rich.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

We need to go one step further: We must increase taxes on the very rich.

Simplifying the tax code and cutting every American’s taxes will boost consumer spending while encouraging savings and investment.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

"Simplifying" the tax code is not enough.  Too many Americans are already so deep in debt with student loan payments, mortgage payments, and medical bills, that the luxury of boosted consumer spending is just something that is not at all realistic.

We must cut the corporate tax rate and allow the United States to compete internationally.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

We must make it more difficult for American corporations to sell their products here in America if their products are not made here in America.  They can sell their "Make America Great Again" baseball caps to the Chinese.

Corporations must no longer be able to defer taxes on income earned abroad.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

American corporations should be earning their income here in America.  If their income is coming from abroad due to outsourced manufacturing and jobs stolen from the American people, then these corporations should be far more strongly penalized for it than by merely removing their deferred tax privileges.

Our lower tax rates must also apply to small business, allowing entrepreneurs and freelancers to grow and prosper.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

Again, only if those entrepreneurs and freelancers are investing their business here in America – not learning from the big corporations how to outsource aboard, only on a smaller scale.

Our lower tax rates will provide a tremendous stimulus for the economy, significant GDP growth, and a huge number of new jobs.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

See previous response regarding Americans with crushing student debt, mortgage payments, medical bills, and so on.  That's where your stimulus should be going.  First help our young people to prepare for jobs of the future, stop trying to take away our health care, and do something to rein in the banks, and then maybe we can talk about stimulating the economy.

Our tax code overhaul must return power to the states.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

You mean: "Make the states pay for the services that you want to cut from the federal budget."  The American people are going to get screwed either way.

We must eliminate the marriage penalty and the Alternative Minimum Tax.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

The marriage penalty and Alternative Minimum Tax are two different things, with different benefits and consequences to the American people should one or the other be eliminated.  This question is deliberately misleading.

We must allow working parents to deduct childcare expenses for up to four children and elderly dependents.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

Why only four children?  Who set that arbitrary number?  Are you proposing free birth control for everyone, so that families can more easily conform to your "four-child" ideal?

We must reduce or eliminate the capital gains tax.

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

There are already means by which corporations can reduce their capital gains tax.  One significant means is by giving more to charity.   I find the encouragement of charitable giving by corporations to be vastly preferable to the total elimination of their capital gains tax.

We must pass tax reform legislation in order to Make America Great Again!

    Strongly Agree
    Agree
    Disagree
    No Opinion
    Other, please specify:

Please specify a year from American history when things were great, so that I can get a better idea of what you are shooting for here.
